why blogger is better than facebook

Now, don't start getting riled up all you FB fans out there. I know you number up to millions.

I just meant that for confessions, for thoughts, for times when you simply want to ponder on life, blogs reign supreme.

Imagine if you want to talk about weddings, taking pictures, the cool dreams of Baguio and Sagada, love, life, friends who no longer seem to be, stress at work, and stuff like that, do you really want to air it out in front of business contacts, former classmates you barely know, friends of friends who seem familiar, and the occasional ex-flame?

I don't.

People continuously expoit FB to proclaim the problems of their love lives, the narcissistic moments of their "Me!" mornings, and which color would they be if they were, indeed, colors. It's entertaining and informative, but only to some extent. You get bored after a while, when your "friends" reach 500 (even if you continuously weed out the strangers), and find them giving their two cents to something they have no business of knowing about.

In a classroom, FB is the popular kid. You befriend it because it's fun, it's new and it's in. But when you want to use your brains and talk to a good friend to ramble about your life and its many delicious turns, it's Blogger all the way.

i hear you! i always find myself being careful in FB lest i offend somebody with either my status or comments. i know, praning. haha. but then, it's an open community and though you're listed as "friends," not all people really do and can get you.
